The Andhra Pradesh State Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, approved Rs 524.70 crore for the completion of a residential complex for MLAs, MLCs, and All India Services officers in Nelapadu, Amaravati.
The multi-storied complex will consist of 432 units spread across 18 buildings (each S+12 floors) and will be completed on a lump-sum contract with a two-year defect liability period (DLP). The Cabinet ratified the tendering actions already initiated by the APCRDA Commissioner. The Cabinet also approved a proposal to review institutional land allocations within the CRDA region to ensure efficient land use.
In another forward-looking move, the Cabinet gave the green light to establish the Amaravati Quantum Computing Centre (AQCC), marking a major milestone toward Andhra Pradesh’s vision of becoming a Quantum Valley hub. This aligns with the roadmap laid out at the Quantum Valley Workshop held on June 30, 2025, where global and domestic experts pledged support.
AQCC will soon invite global firms to install quantum computing hardware, with collaboration opportunities for startups, universities, and research bodies—a move expected to generate significant employment and tech-driven growth.
