Ashoka Buildcon has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for two significant projects issued by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The company had submitted bids for these infrastructure projects and secured the contracts at a quoted value of Rs 2,791 crore.
The first project involves the development of a four-lane economic corridor from Kharagpur to Chandrakona-Ghatal Road Crossing, covering a stretch from Km 0.000 to Km 41.000 on NH 116A (Package-I) in West Bengal. The second project focuses on constructing a similar four-lane corridor from Bowaichandi to Guskara-Katwa Road Section, extending from Km 89.814 to Km 133.000 on NH 116A (Package-3).
Both projects will be executed under the hybrid annuity model (HAM), and are expected to boost connectivity by improving road infrastructure. The timeline for completing the projects, including the monsoon period, is 30 months.
