Australia-based software company, Atlassian, is planning to invest in setting up data centres in India in H1/2024. Atlassian will work with Amazon to bring its products to the data centres in India.
Even though the company will utilise Amazon’s data centres and hardware, it would set up all the systems and processes to ensure data security. Moreover, the investment will help the firm to fulfil the data residency requirements of companies.
Currently, Atlassian has 1,700 employees in India, who are involved in research and development (R&D), and building products for the global market as well as support functions in the region.
The company is engaged in providing team collaboration and productivity software like Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket and Trello. In India, its customer base includes Ola Cabs, Reliance, Walmart Labs, Flipkart and others.
