BEML has announced plans to establish a greenfield rail manufacturing facility, named ‘BRAHMA,’ near Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
This major expansion comes with an estimated investment of Rs 1,500 crore, which was approved by the company's Board of Directors on 06 February, 2026. The new plant will boost BEML’s capacity to meet the growing demand in the rail sector and strengthen its market presence in rail infrastructure. The 'BRAHMA' facility will be built in phases over five years and funded through long-term debt. This phased approach will allow BEML to scale production as needed, while also managing resources efficiently and reducing risks.
The facility’s strategic location in Madhya Pradesh provides logistical benefits and access to a skilled workforce, enhancing operational efficiency. The expansion is central to BEML’s long-term growth strategy, aiming to increase its market share in rail manufacturing and support future revenue growth.
