Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) has entered into a partnership with Reliance BP Mobility (RBML) to enhance city gas distribution (CGD) and compressed natural gas (CNG) sales.
The collaboration, part of BPCL’s Project Aspire, aims to promote a sustainable energy framework and advance India’s gas-based economy. The agreement was signed by senior executives from both organizations, including Rouf Khan (BPCL) and Sanjay Pandita (RBML), with other top officials in attendance. BPCL emphasised ensuring that end customers have easy access to cleaner fuel, while RBML highlighted that its outlets’ high footfall will drive greater CNG sales.
This partnership supports the Government of India’s target to increase the share of natural gas in the national energy mix from six percent to 15 percent by 2030. By promoting cleaner and more affordable fuel alternatives, the alliance reinforces the commitment of both organisations to sustainable mobility and environmental stewardship across India.
