Bajel Projects has successfully charged and commissioned the 400kV Ananthpuram-Kurnool transmission line in Andhra Pradesh, marking a significant milestone in regional grid strengthening.
The “TL01– Ananthpuram–Kurnool 400 kV D/C Line” was officially charged on 26 December, 2025. This project enhances the power corridor in the region and aims to improve grid stability to meet the rising energy demands of the Ananthpuram and Kurnool districts. The project is part of an ISTS-TBCB initiative by Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) through its subsidiary, Powergrid Ananthpuram Kurnool Transmission. The line runs from Ananthpuram Pooling Station to Kurnool-III Pooling Station. Bajel Projects successfully completed the erection of 222 high-tension towers and stringing of 171 circuit kilometers of conductor.
The company highlighted the excellence of their engineering and coordination, stating in a release, “By delivering this line, Bajel Projects continues to reinforce its position as a key driver of India’s mission to modernize its national power grid.”
