Andhra Pradesh Minister BC Janardhan Reddy recently provided an update on various infrastructure projects during a press conference at the Collectorate.
The Minister revealed that more than 50 percent of the Bandaru Port project in Machilipatnam has been completed at a cost of Rs.1,760 crore, with the remaining work set for completion by December. He emphasised the state's focus on improving road infrastructure, highlighting that Rs.3,380 crore worth of road construction and repairs had been carried out in just one year. “In Machilipatnam constituency, works worth Rs 33 crore covering 166 km have been completed,” he said, underscoring the significant progress made.
Additionally, road repairs and pothole filling across Andhra Pradesh have cost Rs.1,081 crore, with Krishna district alone seeing repairs on 1,518 km of roads. The Gilakaladindi fishing harbour, facing technical delays, is still on track for completion, with plans to name it after former minister Nadikuditi Narasimha Rao.
