Bharat Forge through its e -mobility subsidiary, Kalyani Powertrain inaugurated its first e-bike manufacturing facility at Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) at Chakan in Pune district on 8 March, 2023.

The facility has a production capacity of 60,000 units per annum, with the capability to scale up to 100,000 units per annum, to serve the requirements of the company’s targeted segment of customers.

The manufacturing unit will engage in the assembly of e-bikes for Tork Motors, in which Kalyani Powertrain holds 64.29 percent ownership.
