Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh on 6 April 2013 dedicated Bhopal bypass project in Madhya Pradesh to the nation.
Transstroy India, appointed as a contractor has completed the project of four laning the Bhopal by-pass in Madhya Pradesh. The BOT mode project has been completed in 20 months as against the original estimated duration of 24 months with an investment of 304.32 crore. Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation (MPRDC) is the promoter of the 52 km by pass road. The project aims at easing traffic congestion in Bhopal city.
Meanwhile, Transstroy India is executing two more road projects in Madhya Pradesh awarded by MPRDC. The projects include four laning of the 105.6 km Bhopal- Biora section of National Highway -12 and two laning of 107 km of the Bhopal-Berasia-Sironj section of State Highway -23. The Bhopal-Biora project is estimated to cost Rs 776.2 crore while Bhopal-Berasia-Sironj is estimated to cost Rs 181.19 crore. Financial closure for the both the projects have already been achieved.
Besides, these two projects the company is executing the 121.8 km long four laning Obedullaganj-Betul project of NHAI at a cost of Rs 912 crore.
