The Tapi Irrigation Development Corporation has invited bids for the survey, investigation, and construction of overflow and non-overflow sections, along with earthen dams at nine locations in the Nar Par and Auranga river basins.
These cover Umberpada, Sarnyawan, Pratapgad, Rakshasbhuvan, Milan, Ghodi, Ukhedmal, Sawarpada, and Devmal in the river basins. The scope of work also includes the construction of sumps at Mankhed and Salbhoya, along with pump houses, pumping machinery, electromechanical works, and rising mains that connect the dams and sumps. Additionally, diversion and connecting tunnels will be built to channel water into the Girna river basin.
The contract worth Rs 4,116.11 crore will involve testing, commissioning, and operation during the defect liability period (DLP), with necessary environmental clearances, land acquisition, and statutory approvals. This initiative aims to improve irrigation infrastructure and enhance agricultural productivity in Nashik, ensuring better regional water management and security. The completion timeline is 84 months, including monsoon considerations. The last date for bid submision 28 January, 2026.
