Water Resources Department, Maharashtra has invited bids for the renovation of the Tillari Right Bank Canal and Banda Branch Canal in Sindhudurg district.
Under the Canal Rehabilitation and Improvement Programme of the Tillari Interstate Project, the project spans a total of 57 km, with the Tillari Right Bank Canal extending from km 1 to 27 and the Banda Branch Canal from km 1 to 30, and carries an estimated cost of Rs 156.31 crore. The scope of work includes the rehabilitation and improvement of these canals to enhance water distribution for irrigation purposes. The contract is expected to be completed within 36 months. The renovation is part of a larger effort to improve the canal infrastructure and ensure sustainable water management for agricultural use in the region.
The bid submisison is due by 27 January, 2026.
