Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has invited bids for the selection of solar power developers for setting up of 1,200 MW ISTS-connected solar PV power projects with 600 MW/ 3600 MWh energy storage system (ESS) in India. These will be undertaken on a build-own-operate (BOO) basis under tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) process (SECI-ISTS-XXI).
The scope also covers the transmission network up to the interconnection/ delivery point with the primary objective of supplying solar power to SECI, at its own cost. SECI will enter into a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the successful bidders selected, for purchase of solar power for a period of 25 years based on the terms, conditions and provisions of the bids and PPA.
Bidders who have already commissioned solar PV projects or are in the process of constructing such projects and have untied capacity can also participate under this tender. The last date for submission of bids is 22 July, 2025.
