1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

Bihar receives coal block for three thermal power plants

The Coal Ministry has allotted a coal block for three proposed thermal power projects in Bihar.

 

The Deocha-Pachami coal block in Birbhum, in West Bengal, was allocated to Bihar, and the state expects to manage 486 million tonne of coal required for running the Pirpainti, Kajra and Chausa thermal projects.

 

Pirpainti thermal power project, being developed by Nalanda Power Company - a wholly owned subsidiary of RPG Group at Pirpainti in Bhagalpur district - is estimated to cost Rs 10,000 crore. The 1980 MW (3 x 660 MW) will come up in two stages - Stage-I of 2x660 MW and Stage-II of 1X660 MW. 

 

Kajra thermal power plant, with 1,320 MW (2x660 MW) is being executed by Bihar State Power Holding Company at Kajra in Lakshisarai district.

 

Chausa thermal unit being executed by Bihar State Power Holding Company at Chausa in Buxar district, is estimated to cost Rs 8,218 crore. The project will have 1,320 MW (2x660 MW) capacity.

 

Besides, the state has also obtained coal linkage on tapering basis for the capacity upgradation of the Barauni thermal project.
