Birla Carbon, manufacturer and supplier of high-quality carbon-based solutions, has announced that its three plants in India - Renukoot, Gummidipoondi and Patalganga, have secured the ISCC PLUS Certification with zero non-conformities. These plants have been certified as ‘traders with storage and conversion units for blending carbon black.’
Underscoring the company’s commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility, this achievement not only enhances Birla Carbon’s India operations but also positions the company as a global leader in sustainable manufacturing. It also emphasises its role in driving positive change within the Indian and the larger Asia manufacturing sector.
As it expands certification efforts globally, it reinforces the company's efforts to set industry benchmarks, and contributing to a more sustainable future. With the ISCC PLUS certification already received for its plants in the USA, South Korea, and Italy, more plants are to be certified through the rest of 2024, underscoring Birla Carbon's aspirations to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050.
