Bondada Engineering has secured a letter of intent (LoI) worth Rs 63.86 crore from the Panchayati Raj Department, Government of Bihar, for the Phase-IV implementation of the Mukhyamantri Gramin Solar Street Light Yojana.
The project has been awarded to Bondada E&E (Beelite), a subsidiary of Bondada Engineering. The initiative aims to enhance rural infrastructure by installing solar-powered street lighting systems across three districts in Bihar. Under the contract, Bhojpur district will receive 9,150 solar street lights, Gopalganj will get 7,850, and Rohtas is set to install 3,510 units. This move aligns with Bihar's push for sustainable development and rural electrification through renewable energy sources.
Bondada Engineering’s role in this large-scale public sector project reinforces its growing presence in India’s solar and infrastructure segments. The execution of this project is expected to significantly improve nighttime visibility and safety in rural areas, while also supporting the government's efforts to promote green energy and reduce carbon emissions.
