The CCI on 8 April 2010 gave a go ahead for implementation of five national
highway development projects at an estimated cost of about Rs 4,355.1 crore on a
DBFOT basis.
The projects include four laning of 50.6 km stretch in
Patna-Bakhtiyarpur section in Bihar, which has an estimated cost of Rs
605.82 crore. The concession period is 18 years, including construction period
of 910 days.
Two projects from Rajasthan - which are contiguous stretches - that were
approved are four laning of
Beawar-Pali section and
Pali-Pindwara section. The total project cost of Beawar-Pali section is
estimated at Rs 1,102.10 crore, with a concession period of 21 years, including
construction period of 30 months. The total project cost of Pali-Pindwara
section is estimated at Rs 1,326.54 crore. The concession period is 19 years,
including construction period of 30 months.
Further, four laning of the
Deoli-Kota section in Rajasthan at an estimated cost of Rs 658.64 crore has
also received the nod. The concession period is 26 years, including a
construction period of 30 months.
The fifth project is in Uttar Pradesh/Haryana border -Yamunanagar-Saha-Barwala-Panchkula
- in Haryana. The total project cost is estimated at Rs 662 crore. The
concession period is 21 years, including a construction period of 30 months.
