Calcutta Electric Supply Company (CESC) has reportedly acquired 100 per cent
ownership in Dhariwal Infrastructure by snapping the remaining 50 per cent stake
for around Rs 100 crore.
CERC is expected to shortly seek approval from the Registrar of Companies to
rechristen Dhariwal Infrastructure, which is now a wholly-owned subsidiary.
Dhariwal is executing the Rs 3,000-crore greenfield thermal project at
Chandrapur in Maharashtra The 2x300 MW project will be executed in 36 months
from the zero date. The Unit I 300 MW unit will come up in 33 months by March
2013. Also, CESC is likely to finalise the Rs 1200-crore EPC contract soon.
