The City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra (CIDCO) will finalise the master plan for the Rs 667-acre Navi Mumbai Aerocity within the next three months, as part of the state government’s accelerated strategy to commercialise the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA).
Located adjacent to NMIA, the Aerocity will feature residential, commercial, retail, industrial, and mixed-use developments. CIDCO is currently selecting a consultant for the master plan and transaction advisory services. The proposal allocates around 123 acres each for residential, commercial, and retail uses, with the remainder for industrial and mixed-use spaces.
Additionally, CIDCO plans to develop an Educity, Medicity, and an International Corporate Park within a 10-km radius, aiming to create a comprehensive urban ecosystem. These initiatives are expected to boost real estate demand and position Navi Mumbai as a key investment and growth hub. Deputy CM Eknath Shinde has also called for improved connectivity, including a proposed tunnel linking Mumbai to NMIA to handle the expected surge in air and vehicular traffic.
