Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma inaugurated and laid foundation stones for various development projects worth over Rs 719 crore in Bikaner district, specifically in Lunkaransar, on 16 December, 2025.
The announcement was made as part of the state’s ongoing infrastructure push. The CM highlighted that on December 5, projects worth Rs 1,717 crore were launched to enhance the Gang Canal system, including the Rs 647 crore reconstruction of the Firozpur Feeder and a Rs 3,400 crore initiative to renovate IGNP canals and build lined canals. Sharma also mentioned, “Work orders worth Rs 26,000 crore have been issued for the Ram Jal Setu Link Project for eastern Rajasthan, and the Yamuna water agreement will enable water supply to Shekhawati.”
Further, the CM announced several irrigation projects, including Rs 250 crore for the Barsalpur Canal, Rs 230 crore for Dhodha and Dantaur canals, and Rs 270 crore for sprinkler irrigation in 44,500 hectares under the Dr Karni Singh Lift Canal.
