1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure approves road projects

The Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure (CCI), on 1 March 2012, approved highway projects in Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Orissa entailing an investment of Rs 3,412 crore under NHDP Phase II on DBFOT basis in BOT (Toll) mode of delivery.

The CCI has approved the investment proposal for the implementation of the four/two laning of Gomati Chauraha – Udaipur section stretching 79.31 km on NH 8 in Rajasthan. The total project cost estimated is Rs 1,114.27 crore out of which Rs 199.77 crore will be towards land acquisition, rehabilitation, resettlement and preconstruction. The concession period will be 27 years including construction period of 30 months. The project will cover the districts of Rajsamand and Udaipur in Rajasthan.

Further, CCI has given go-ahead for the implementation of the four/two laning of Madurai -Ramanathapuram section on NH 49 in Tamil Nadu. The project cost for 115.110 km road project is estimated at Rs 828.07 crore out of which Rs 145.07 crore will be towards land acquisition, rehabilitation, resettlement and preconstruction. The concession period will be 30 years including construction period of 30 months. The project will cover the districts of Madurai, Silaiman, Thirupuvanam, Manumadurai Sivanganga, Paramakudi and Ramanathapuram in Tamil Nadu.

Also, the four laning of 132.500 km Chandikhole –Dubari – Talcher section on NH 200 in Orissa has been approved. The total project cost is Rs 1,469.90 crore out of which Rs 226.90 crore will be towards land acquisition, rehabilitation, resettlement and preconstruction. The concession period will be 24 years including construction period of 30 months. The project will cover the districts of Angul, Dhenkenal and Jajpur in Orissa.
