Ludhiana based Cannon industries' two textile projects in Himachal Pradesh
and Jammu & Kashmir are on track.
Cannon industries' Himachal Pradesh project coming up at Rajakabaug in Kangra
district, entailing an investment of Rs 159 crore is likely to manufacture
spandex yarn with a capacity of 1,700 tpa. At present, work on the project is
underway and completion is expected by December 2010.
Another project coming up in Kathua district of Jammu & Kashmir with an
investment of Rs 300 crore is to spread over 20 acre. The project is likely to
manufacture polyester yarn. As of April 2010, around 30 per cent work has been
completed.
