The Central Public Works Department has invited bids for construction of permanent campus for the Indian Institute of Technology.
The scope of work involves construction of permanent campus for the Indian Institute of Technology, Palakkad Phase-IA at Pudussery village, Kanjikode West in Palakkad district of Kerala (Package-I).
The work also involves construction of academic buildings: [administration building in one block (G + two), department buildings in three blocks (G + two), classroom complex (G + two), research complex (G + one) and heavy machinery lab complex in three blocks], hostel buildings [1,000 beds hostel in two blocks (G + three), dining hall (G + one)], faculty housing (Type-V 65 nos in five blocks (G + four), staff housing (Type-III 26 nos (G + four), Type-IV 22 nos (G + five) and director’s bungalow (G + one).
The other works include internal water supply, sanitary installations, drainage, internal electrical installations, lifts, low side HVAC work with DDC panel, firefighting & fire alarm system, UPS, WTP, STP, substation, HT & LT cabling, DG set, solar water heaters and external development work around the buildings including roads and pathways, drains, landscaping, external water supply, drainage, sewerage system, street lighting and landscape lighting.
The work will be completed in a period of 24 months at a cost of Rs 595.4 crore.
