Public Works Minister Satish Jarkiholi has announced that the Centre has sanctioned 42 road projects for Karnataka, in coordination with the state government. Of these, Karnataka has granted full clearances for 27 projects, including land acquisition and transfer to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). Clearances for the remaining 15 are pending but expected to be resolved soon.
Speaking at a media event in Belagavi, stated, "The project was announced by Minister Nitin Gadkari but later withdrawn. However, the state government will now fund the project, and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will lay the foundation stone in October," he said.
The Minister shared updates on major projects including the Belagavi-Dharwad railway line, Belagavi Ring Road, a Rs 10 crore sports complex, a new government hospital, and 257 sanctioned Anganwadis.
