The Central Government has approved Rs 1,914.71 crore for 40 critical road projects in Rajasthan under the Central Road Infrastructure Fund (CRIF), the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) announced. These projects span approx. 1,000 km across the state and aim to enhance regional connectivity and road safety. The approved list includes 31 major district roads, eight state highways, and one other district road.

The funding will be directed towards the strengthening and widening of these road segments. Civil works will include surface strengthening, lane widening, and other structural improvements to support increased vehicular loads and improve safety standards. 

The projects are expected to reduce travel time, improve freight and passenger mobility, and support economic activities by enhancing market access in both urban and rural areas. The state government highlighted that better road infrastructure will play a crucial role in industrial growth, employment generation, and overall regional development.
