Chalet Hotels plans to invest around Rs 300 crore in an upcoming luxury hotel at Terminal-3 of Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) in New Delhi. The development will be through a warm shell lease arrangement between Chalet Hotels and Delhi International Airport, and the hotel is expected to open by the end of FY26.
This hotel is a franchising arrangement with Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), which will provide Taj brand to the hotel, while Chatel will be responsible for day-to-day operations. The company will utilise 3,00,000 sq. ft. of built-up area to build roughly about 390 keys.
In May this year, Chalet Airport Hotel, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chalet Hotels, signed a franchise agreement for the airport hotel with IHCL. The developer and asset manager will also begin constructing a Hyatt Regency hotel in Airoli in Navi Mumbai next year. Besides this, it would be adding 130 guest rooms at Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield, and 80 rooms at Novotel Pune.
The company has also launched the country’s first all-women-run hotel, The Westin Hyderabad HITEC City, this year.
