Collins Aerospace, a subsidiary of RTX, has inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in Bengaluru with a USD 100 million investment.
Located at the KIADB Aerospace Park, this 26-acre centre will initially produce aerospace components such as seats, lighting, cargo systems, temperature sensors, and evacuation slides. The facility will incorporate advanced manufacturing technologies including artificial intelligence, robotics, and additive manufacturing. By 2026, it aims to employ over 2,200 people. It will support more than 70 Collins Aerospace products, enhancing global service and operational efficiency.
This facility is part of a broader USD 250 million investment plan in India, underscoring Collins Aerospace's long-term commitment to the region. With nearly three decades of operations in India, the company continues to expand its footprint across manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain functions, currently employing over 6,500 people in the country.
