Surana Industries has awarded the
contract worth Rs.58 crore for boilers, ESP & turbine for 35 MW captive power
plant for the integrated steel plant in Raichur district Karnataka.
The company has placed order of Rs.36
crore to Cethar Vessels, Trichy for boilers, Rs.14 crores to Qingdao Jieneng
Power Station Engineering Co, China and Associated Power Team, Hyderabad for
Turbine and Rs.8 crore to Thermax, Pune for ESP.
Through this contract Cethar Vessels
will install design engineering, manufacture, assembly, erection, startup,
testing, commissioning and guarantee performance Testing of (1) No. of 110 tph,
66 ksca,495 + 5 deg C Fluidised Bed Combustion Boiler and its auxiliaries and
four (4) Nos of 10.5 TPH,68 ksca,495 + 5 C waste heat recovery boiler and
auxiliaries.
Qingdao Jieneng Power station
Engineering, china and Associated Power Team, Hyderabad, will install design,
engineering, manufacture, assembly, testing, erection, Ssart up, commissioning &
guarantee performance testing of 35 MW Tturbo generator and auxiliaries.
Thermax, Pune will install design,
engineering, manufacture, assembly, erection, startup, testing, commissioning
and guarantee performance Ttsting of (4) Nos of ESP, ID Fan and Flue gas ducting
work for 10.5 tph WHRB and 1 Nos of ESP for 1x110 tph AFBC boiler.
The proposed steel plant, being
developed at a total investment of Rs.473 crore will have capacity to produce
1.28 lakh tpa of sponge iron, 2.25 lakh tpa of steel melting shop and 2 lakhs
tpa of rolling mill annually. The plant will have 30 MW captive power plant. The
plant is expected to be operational by March 2008.
