Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has appointed contractors and consultants to develop the Metro-2B corridor.
The executive committee of MMRDA has appointed Simplex Infra to construct the viaduct and stations from DN Nagar to BKC on Metro-2B corridor.
The company will part design and construct the elevated corridor and 11 stations, namely, ESIC Nagar, Prem Nagar, Indira Nagar, Nanawati hospital, Khira Nagar, Saraswat Nagar, National College, Bandra (W), MMRDA office, Income Tax office and ILFS.
Construction work on the project will commence in early 2018.
The committee has appointed Systra MVA Consulting (India) as detail design consultant for DN Nagar to Mandale of Metro-2B corridor.
The scope of work for the company includes preparing the detail design for architectural and building services, including electrical work, civil work for depot, stations, staff quarters, OCC and auxiliary structures for the corridor.
MBZ-Ukrain and RCC Infra Ventures have also been appointed as contractors for metro depot at Mandale.
The contractors will construct the depot consisting of stabling yard, DCC and administrative building, maintenance and workshop buildings, ASS, finishing, plumbing, earthwork for land development, compound wall, and road and underground utility duct work.
