Agrochemical firm Crystal Crop Protection has acquired 31.06 acres of land from Kurl-On, in Jhagadia, Gujarat, for a greenfield manufacturing plant.
The company will invest Rs100 crore over the next three years to establish a fully automated facility for agrochemical formulations and technical products. The plant will initially have a production capacity of 50,000 tonne per annum, with the flexibility to expand up to 1,20,000 tonne to cater to rising demand. The facility will produce herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides for the domestic market and export to regions in Asia and Africa, including well-known products such as "Topper," "Tilt," and "Proclaim.”
Ankur Aggarwal, the Executive Chairman and Managing Director of Crystal Crop Protection, highlighted that the plant's location in Gujarat offers cost efficiency, regulatory clarity, and a robust supply chain.
