Navin Fluorine International (NFIL) has started commercial production at its new Rs 450 crore plant in Dahej, Gujarat, with an annual capacity of 40,000 tonne.
This facility, operated by its subsidiary, is a strategic addition aimed at strengthening NFIL’s position in the specialty chemicals sector, particularly in pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and renewable energy. The new plant significantly boosts the company’s anhydrous hydrofluoric acid (AHF) production capacity, which was previously limited to 20,000 tonne per annum at its Surat facility.
According to NFIL, the enhanced production capacity is geared towards meeting the growing demand in the fluorochemicals industry. The plant’s operations are expected to serve various sectors, including pharmaceuticals and chemicals, contributing to the company's expanded presence. The company’s investment underscores its commitment to supporting the growing demand for critical chemicals needed for diverse applications, especially in the renewable energy space.
