DCM Shriram has commissioned its captive 120 MW power plant at its chemical complex in Gujarat on 27 June, 2024.
The facility is located in Jhagadia, Bharuch district of the state. This project would help in driving cost efficiencies at the complex.
DCM Shriram plans to set up synthetic organic chemicals manufacturing unit with a capacity of 4,90,000 tpa at Jhagadia GIDC Industrial Estate. The project will spread over 14.39 acres of land, and will entail an investment of Rs 1,000 crore.
The company's Board has given in-principle approval for entering the area of advanced materials by investing in epoxy and value-added products.
