DHBVN is implementing a major power infrastructure project in Gurugram by laying 220 new 11kV feeders to improve electricity supply and meet the growing demand.
The expansion includes 133 feeders in Circle-I (Old Gurugram, Dwarka Expressway, and Manesar) and 87 feeders in Circle-II (Sushant Lok, MG Road, South City, Golf Course Road, and Tauru). The targeted completion date for feeders in high-demand urban areas is March–April 2026, with the overall project expected to finish by late 2026. This initiative addresses issues like feeder overloading, especially in residential and industrial areas. Overloading has led to outages, prompting the bifurcation of feeders earlier this year.
DHBVN Managing Director Ashok Kumar Garg emphasised timely, high-quality installation to ensure the city's growing industrial and residential needs are met, as Gurugram’s peak load exceeds 2,500 MW and continues to rise. The project is part of a larger network expansion in neighbouring districts.
