Daikin India has inaugurated its third research and development (R&D) centre located in Neemrana, Rajasthan, on 15 April 2025.
Spread over six acres, the facility represents an investment of Rs 500 crore and houses 22 advanced testing laboratories. It will employ over 500 engineers focused on creating innovative heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) solutions tailored to Indian and global needs. Among its features is one of the country’s largest air-cooled chiller test labs, with a 600-tonne refrigeration capacity.
The new centre is co-located with Daikin’s Neemrana manufacturing facility, enabling seamless coordination between R&D and production teams. This integration is expected to enhance productivity and accelerate the company’s global competitiveness.
Chairman and Managing Director KJ Jawa highlighted the strategic importance of this addition: “It reflects Daikin’s vision of shaping the future of HVAC and refrigeration through innovation rooted in local insights.” He added that the R&D centre “is designed not only to create products that meet the unique needs of Indian consumers but also to drive the development of sustainable and environment-friendly technologies for global markets.”
