1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

Mitsubishi Electric India opens Rs 2,100-cr air conditioner & compressor facility near Chennai

Mitsubishi Electric India, a leading Japanese electrical and electronic equipment maker, on 06 February, 2026, inaugurated its new air conditioner and compressor manufacturing unit at Gummidipoondi, near Chennai, with an investment of Rs 2,100 crore.

The facility, located on the Mahindra Origins campus, was launched virtually by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin. This is Mitsubishi Electric India's second manufacturing unit in India, following the opening of its Factory Automation Systems plant in Pune in 2023. Spanning 210,000 sq. mtrs., the Gummidipoondi facility has an annual production capacity of 3,00,000 air conditioners and 6,50,000 compressors. The unit is expected to create over 2,100 direct and indirect employment and strengthen the regional supplier ecosystem by promoting local sourcing and skill development.

By manufacturing domestically, Mitsubishi Electric India aims to reduce import dependence and support the growth of a self-reliant HVAC manufacturing sector. Atsushi Takase, Managing Director of Mitsubishi Electric India, highlighted, “This facility will support the growing demand for energy-efficient air-conditioning solutions and enable us to respond faster to customer needs, strengthen quality control, and ensure sustainable operations.”
