PG Electroplast, through its wholly-owned subsidiary PG Technoplast, has announced an investment of approx. Rs 1,000 crore to establish its first manufacturing facility in South India, selecting Sri City in Tirupati district after evaluating multiple locations.
The company has acquired 50 acres, marking its largest land acquisition, to build an integrated manufacturing campus focused initially on refrigerator production with an annual capacity of 1.2 million units. Commercial production is targeted by December 2026, with future expansions planned for air conditioners, washing machines, and other appliances. The project is expected to generate over 500 direct work opportunities initially and stimulate further employment across component manufacturing, logistics, and allied sectors in the region.
Andhra Pradesh’s HRD and IT Minister Nara Lokesh welcomed the investment, highlighting it as a testament to the state’s investor-friendly policies. The state government and Sri City authorities will facilitate approvals and infrastructure support to accelerate the project’s execution.
