Daikin Air-conditioning India, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Daikin Industries, Japan, is planning to invest Rs 330 crore in FY14 to double its room AC manufacturing capacity.
The company intends to increase production of its room AC from the existing half million tpa to one million tpa at its plant at Neemrana in Alwar district of Rajasthan.
As part of its expansion plan, Daikin Air-conditioning India, plans to add 46 more standalone stores and 400 dealers to its distribution network across India. At present, it has 104 standalone stores and 1,800 dealers. Further, the company is also planning to establish India as an export hub for Daikin.
