Dalmia Bharat (DBL) has achieved a production capacity of 49.5 million tonne per annum (MTPA) in FY25 following an expansion at its Rohtas Cement Works plant in Bihar.
With an investment of Rs 96 crore, the plant's capacity has increased to 1.6 MTPA, reinforcing DBL’s presence in the Eastern region and supporting infrastructure projects. "Our growth in the East reflects our strong belief in the region's development potential. With this expansion, we are enhancing our ability to support key infrastructure projects and contribute to economic progress in the region," Managing Director & CEO Puneet Dalmia stated.
DBL aims to scale its capacity to 110-130 MTPA by 2031. The company has a strong footprint in Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Odisha. This expansion will help meet increasing infrastructure demands across roads, railways, and airports while creating employment opportunities and boosting economic development.
India's total installed cement capacity stands at 690 MTPA, with UltraTech Cement leading at 188.76 MTPA, followed by Adani Cement at over 100 MTPA.
