Cement manufacturer Dalmia Bharat, is working on its next phase of expansion, which will take its capacity to 75 mln tpa by 2027. The company is currently executing an expansion plan, which is expected to scale-up its annual capacity to 54 mln tpa by the end of FY24, from a current capacity of 39 mln tpa.
The strategic expansion is intended to serve the purpose of reducing exposure to the east-south region of the country, and boosting its presence in the western, mid, and northern regions as well by 2024-end.
On the back of an expected heightened growth in demand, the expansion will equip the company to meet these requirements, and propel it towards becoming a pan-India player.
The current capacity expansion includes the addition of five mln tpa through the acquisition of some assets of JP Associates by Dalmia Bharat’s subsidiary, Dalmia Cement Bharat, with another four mln tpa expected to be acquired from JP Associates.
