Dalmia Bharat, a prominent Indian cement manufacturer, reported notable growth for Q2/FY26 with sales volume reaching 6.9 million tonne.
A significant milestone was the commencement of trial runs at the new 3.6 MnT clinker line in Umrangso, Assam, with commercial production set for Q3 FY26. The company further advanced its green initiatives by commissioning 93 MW of renewable energy (RE) capacity, raising its total operational RE capacity to 387 MW, including group captive power.
Renewable power consumption accounted for 48.1 percent of total usage, underlining its sustainability commitment. Multiple units—Dalmiapuram, Ariyalur, Rajgangpur, Kapilas, Rohtas, and Lanka, were recognised for energy excellence. Moreover, Ariyalur, Dalmiapuram, and Lanka Cement Works received the "National Energy Leader" distinction, highlighting leadership in energy efficiency and sustainability.
