Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on 07 May, 2025 dedicated 50 strategic infrastructure projects of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) to the nation during the 66th BRO Raising Day event held at Ashoka Hall in the Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi. The projects, including 30 bridges, 17 roads, and three other key works, span six border states and two Union Territories - Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Mizoram, West Bengal and Rajasthan.
Built at a cost of Rs 1,879 crore, these projects aim to strengthen India’s security apparatus and boost connectivity and development in remote, strategic regions.
