The Delhi Cabinet has approved a Rs 100 crore budget for the rejuvenation of water bodies in the city.
The move aims to improve pollution control and restore the city’s water sources. According to Mr. Sirsa, the Chief Minister has emphasized providing full financial support to ensure the project is completed within the year. Alongside this, the Cabinet also gave the green light to the creation of Delhi's first e-waste park at Holambi Kalan. The 11.5-acre facility will operate using a 100 percent zero-waste model and strictly follow pollution control norms. It is designed to recycle and reuse water using an advanced recirculation system, setting a benchmark for sustainable waste management in the country.
The Minister highlighted, “This will be India’s first state-of-the-art e-waste park built on zero pollution and wastage principles.”The approval of these projects reflects Delhi's commitment to environmental conservation and modern waste management practices.
