The Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor, a 213-km stretch set to revolutionise travel, is nearly complete, and is expected to open by early February.
With 99 percent of work finished, the road promises a faster, smoother journey between Delhi and Dehradun in under three hours. Despite a few finishing touches still being made, the corridor is nearly ready for traffic. NHAI officials confirmed that minor work at an interchange will be wrapped up soon. "Some minor pending work at the interchange of km 8 on Meerut Baghpat National Highway 334B is likely to be completed in the next 10 days," said an NHAI official. The road offers improved amenities, including rest stops for refreshments and toilets.
The controlled-access road promises a smoother journey, though the first stretch from Delhi's Akshardham is still affected by mixed traffic. The speed limit is set at 100 km/h for cars and 80 km/h for trucks.
