The nine-kilometre stretch of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway between DND Flyway and Meethapur is expected to become operational by June 2026, according to BJP MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri.
In Parliament, he highlighted that construction on the DND Junction to Jaitpur segment is nearly complete, with 94.2% of the work finished, despite earlier delays caused by slow progress on a bridge over the Agra Canal. The expressway, being built at an estimated cost of Rs one lakh crore, is among India’s largest infrastructure projects and aims to reduce travel time between Delhi and Mumbai while easing city traffic. MP Bidhuri noted that several sections are already functional, including the 24-km Meethapur–Sector-65 and 26-km Sector-65–Sohna stretches, while the Sohna–Dausa segment was inaugurated by PM Modi in February 2023.
“The operational sections have already provided major relief to thousands of motorists travelling between Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad and Palwal,” he said. Entry and exit points at Meethapur Chowk will benefit south Delhi residents and reduce traffic congestion.
