The Delhi State Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC) has commenced work on improving infrastructure in and around Delhi.
The works include improvement of roads, drainage, water supply and street lighting in industrial estates in the city in PPP mode. In the Phase I, the state government has selected Okhla, Bawana, Patparganj and Narela industrial estates for improving the basic infrastructure at a cost of Rs 266 crore. The DSIIDC has started work on improving infrastructure in Bawana and Narela industrial clusters while work on two other clusters will begin soon. The redevelopment work for the Narela industrial complex will cost Rs 168 crore. The DSIIDC has already awarded the work for two projects in Narela and Bawana for annuity of Rs 21.5 crore and Rs.7.48 crore respectively. Work in Okhla will start by January 2012.
