The Dharavi Redevelopment Project (DRP) and the Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) have been appointed as the special planning authorities for the 42.51-acre Jamasp Salt Pan land in Mulund East.

This decision, announced on October 27, also includes the nearby railway land and the 8.5-hectare Kurla Dairy land. These areas are part of the 256 acres allocated by the Centre for the Dharavi redevelopment. The lands will be used to create rental housing for residents ineligible for free housing in Dharavi.

The DRP and SRA are led by Navbharat Mega Developers (NMDPL), the special purpose vehicle managing the rehabilitation project.
