Dubai-based Emke Group has planned to invest Rs 700 crore in IT and Logistics infrastructure in Kerala this year. It is known for its Lulu Hypermarket chain in GCC countries.
The first set of Emke Group's Indian projects to begin are Lulu Cybertower Phase-II and the state-of-the-art logistics park.
According to the firm’s plan, the total investment in the the Cybertower Phase-II is Rs 400 crore and is projected to create 11,000 direct job prospects. It will take around 28 months for construction of the 13 lakh sq ft built-up area, incorporated with plug-and-play facilities.
The Logistics park in Aluva will emerge as the largest park in South India, with seven lakh sq ft built-up space on 27 acre. At an investment of Rs 300 crore, it will have the capacity to store 18,000 tonne of food products. This park is almost completed and will be inaugurated before December 2014.
