1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

Eisai Pharma to establish GCC in Visakhapatnam

Eisai Pharma, a leading global pharmaceutical company, has announced plans to establish a Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Visakhapatnam, marking a significant step in expanding its digital transformation and innovation initiatives in India.

The announcement was made by Makoto Haketsu, Global CIO of Eisai Pharma, during his visit to GITAM Deemed to be University on 09 July, 2025. Haketsu and his core technical team engaged with Visakhapatnam MP and GITAM President M. Sribharat, discussing potential academic-industry collaborations and aligning digital healthcare innovations with research at the university.

GITAM's leadership team, including Secretary M. Bharadwaja, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Eroll D’Souza, Pro VC Prof. Y. Goutham Rao, and others, participated in the discussions. Haketsu highlighted the support from the Andhra Pradesh Government and Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone (VSEZ), stating, "By bringing together exceptional digital talent, we aim to drive cutting-edge solutions that redefine how healthcare meets evolving needs."

The GCC is expected to significantly boost local employment, innovation, and the healthcare ecosystem in the region, aligning with India’s growing role in digital healthcare transformation.
