Power Finance Corporation has
short-listed eleven companies for the 4,000 MW Tilaiya Ultra Mega Power
Project in Jharkhand. The shortlisted bidders include:
- NTPC
- Torrent Group
- Essar Power
- Reliance Power
- Tata Power
- Larsen & Toubro
- AES India
- GVK Power & Infrastructure along
with YTL Corp. Bhd, Malaysia
- Jindal Steel & Power
- Sterlite Industries (India)
- Lanco Infratech along with Genting
Sanyen Power Sdn Bhd
The bids of Citra Thermal Power &
Infrastructure and Dian Wijaya Sdn Bhd. of Malaysia were rejected due to
incomplete information.
The deadline for the second stage, or
the request for proposals (RFP) is likely by 23 March 2008 and the project was
likely to awarded by 23 June 2008.
