Eveready Industries India (EIIL), renowned for its batteries and flashlights, is making strides with the announcement of a new greenfield production facility for alkaline batteries. It has acquired land in Jammu for this, as part of its ‘Make In India’ initiative.

The facility is expected to begin operations in the second half of FY26.

The company plans to expand its business-to-business (B2B) and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) segments while strengthening its distribution network in the business-to-consumer (B2C) market. Additionally, EIIL is boosting its Electrical Outlet Division (EOD) by recruiting new dealers to enhance its reach, particularly in consumer luminaires.

In its Q3/FY25 financial results, EIIL reported a 9.4 percent year-on-year increase in revenue, reaching Rs. 333.3 crore. Growth was primarily driven by strong performance in its batteries and flashlights segments, with alkaline batteries maintaining solid momentum and carbon zinc batteries in recovery phase. The company is optimistic about future growth, supported by continued marketing investments and strong market engagement in its key product categories.
