Visakhapatnam is set for a tech transformation as five IT companies have been allotted land by the Andhra Pradesh government, collectively committing investments of Rs 19,000 crore.
The move is expected to generate tens of thousands of employment and significantly enhance the city’s IT and digital infrastructure. Sify Infinit Spaces has received 3.6 acres at Madhurawada IT SEZ and 25 acres in Paradesipalem to build a 550 MW data centre, with a proposed investment of Rs 15,266 crore and an employment potential of 600 work roles. Phenom People will invest Rs 207.5 crore to build an AI-based IT/ITeS campus, creating employemnt for up to 2,500 indiviuals. The firm has been allotted 0.45 acres in Madhurawada and four acres at Rushikonda IT Park.
BVM Energy and Residency Private will develop 2.5 million sq. ft. of mixed-use infrastructure on 10 acres in Yendada. Sattva Group has received 30 acres at Hill No. 4, Madhurawada, for a Rs 1,500 crore project to create 25,000 jobs. ANSR Global will invest Rs 1,000 crore to establish a Global Innovation City over 10.29 acres, aiming to employ 10,000 people.
